Connie's preferred mediums are charcoal and pastels, and she specializes in portraiture.
Connie's work is unique because of the actual size of the majority of her portraits. Working mostly with 18"x24" and 24"x36" paper sizes,
she fills the page with the image, engaging not only the center of the page, but every last edge and corner.
Connie uses shading techniques to add depth, dimension and emotion to her work. As a result, the images appear almost as photographs, yet retain a warmth and intimacy that is rare in black and white portraits.
